Facebooktwitterredditpinteresttumblrmail

Here are the top 3 of the most annoying phone numbers this week:
1. 0012538203089 from Washington with a tellows score of 8
2. +17675034697 from Dominica with a tellows score of 5
3. 5595548838 Sacramento with a tellows score of 4

This week’s most annoying phone number 0012538203089 has been searched more than 3225 times now.
Unfortunately you’re not sure about who the caller might be.

“kaut”, who reported this number as Harassment call, writes:

Got the call two times (Suisse). First no reply then got the connection. Persons says they are calling from windows computer department and something is wrong with my computer. Try to figure out from which company he is calling. He didn’t answer and I stopped conversation.

It seems to be someone who tries to pretend to be from Windows (Microsoft).
If you search the internet for “scam call microsoft” you will see that this is a widespread scam.
Often the caller has some kind of indian accent, too.

So beware of any phone calls applying to this information.

This week’s top 3 include an unknown caller whose number has been known to us for some weeks now, a greencard scam number from New York and an incompetent telemarketer on rank3. Have a look yourself:

She (Amely Johnson) called me and told me I HAVE WIN A GREEN CARD LOTTERY and I have to pay $500. She even asked my VISA or Master Card number.

On rank 3 we have a very crude telemarketer.

Stop Wasting Our Time! – The Top Three Most Annoying Spammers Don’t Quit so Easily Though…

Facebooktwitterredditpinteresttumblrmail

This week was a bit different than usually. The most annoying callers seem to have changed their strategies.
Let’s see what they did this week..

1. 2407871342 from Brandywine with a tellows score of 8
2. 3015953840 form Beltsville with a tellows score of 9
3. 3526883689 from Brooksville with a tellows score of 5

The number one spammer has been calling people more than 10 times a day, he’s also calling a newborn’s mother late at night, taking away valuable minutes from both of them.

The second however is creepy.. doing nothing but breathing is frightening one of our users.

The third is a typical telemarketer trying to take some of your money somehow.

mike reported:

i have been getting calls from this number for the last 2 day i got 22 calls in 2 days when you pick up there is nobody there then i hang up and i get anew number 201-477-1729 its nuts

Whereas newmommy said:

Getting calls all the time, also at night when my newborn should sleep… I call back and get a hang up. The calls are chewing up my minutes and my nerves!

Stay tuned for next week and have a nice spam free weekend hopefully!!

A Spammer Foreseen Is a Spammer Avoided

We’re back with news of the week’s most wanted, most annoying and most suspicious numbers. Ping calls and debt frauds have been disturbing people’s lives this week.

Here are the US spammers of the week:

1. 2532468514 from Tacoma / Washington with a tellows score of 6

2. 2603993723 from Indiana with a tellows score of 5

3. 2132616494 from Los Angeles with a tellows score of 8

The scammers from Los Angeles probably tried to frighten a user with nickname Seriously. He reported:

Guy on the other end wanted to arrest me this morning. Got no idea where he took my number and address from. hung up on him, never had any debts or whatsoever he was claiming

… Scammers all over the world have been using this tick to get money from people who fell for them. Please remember that no serious company would claim money from you only by calling you on the phone!

Yet, our favourite spammer of the week seems to do ping calls only…

Barb reported:

Called 4 times today and leaves no message. It is very annoying when your at work and your cell phone keeps going off.

Take care, friends and fellows!!! Have a nice and spamless weekend!

The do not call list… Or not? – Telemarketers and Scammers, the phone calling machines, still wasting the time of the people of the USA & UK.

Facebooktwitterredditpinteresttumblrmail

Yet another week of enforcing their unsolicited calls that waste peoples time and wake them up late at night. They only aim to rob you off, and they get angry when you tell them you are on the do not call list!
The shocking thing is that their fake offers and scams still work on some people. Thus, we aim to point them out to people and raise awareness that might save someones saving account.

These are the most wanted Scam and Spam numbers in the UK this week:

1. 01613126506 from Manchester with a tellows score of 9

2. 01792455426 from Swansea with a tellows score of 7

3. 01172090021 from Bristol with a tellows score of 5

Marbly wrote us:

They call on a regular basis trying to say that I can claim on mis-sold insurance, loans and credit cards.
I think there really a debt collection agency trying to confirm your identity and getting you to confirm old debts. TOTAL PARRASITES, DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THEM.

Another week for a Manchester Scammers in the lead. The first place goes to a telemarketer trying to get information from her victims. The second place is for a caller who often tends to hang up the phone before talking. And the last place goes to calls regarding fake payment protection insurance.

Meanwhile, the most wanted numbers of the USA are:

1. 3605296156 from Western – Washington with a tellows score of 9

2. 6518293110 from St. Paul – Minnesota with a tellows score of 9

3. 2132615790 from Los Angeles with a tellows score of 9

Leibeauty Wrote:

This “Company” has called me several times. I asked them to remove me from their call list…LOL They continue to call about once a week and each time I tell the person that I have made several request to be removed…!!!CLICK!!! They hang up on me…I am so sick of it and have reported them to the proper authorities but to no avail…THIS BORDERS ON HARASSMENT

Scammers are pretty active in the USA where the Washington number continues to harass people across the states. the second place caller offers $1 million prizes for his customers, whereas the third place goes to Los Angeles, a more violent caller who threatens people with putting them in jail if they do not pay.

Don’t hesitate to share your experiences with us,
Till next week, Take Care!

Your Phone’s Unsolicited Exitement Foreshadows a Day flooded by Nuisance Calls – People of the UK and USA Beware for The Most Wanted strike again!

Facebooktwitterredditpinteresttumblrmail

The last week proved to be awash with the chatter of super motivated call centre agents. Their talk of PPI claims, alleged high quality products and other trivial subjects made our ears bleed. In their arrogance they keep ringing our phones, landline as well as mobile, and strike with waves of silent calls and pre-recorded messages. The authorities on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean are impotent at best and grant the call centres leave to do as they please. The least we can do is to share what we know of the perpetrators and warn our fellow folk about the most dangerous numbers. Here they come, the Most Wanted Spam and Scam Numbers of the UK:

1. 01616567957 from Manchester with a tellows score of 6

2. 01268297656 from Basildon with a tellows score of 7

3. 02070603887 from London with a tellows score of 7

Jo0lz wrote:

This is a cold calling computer attached to a call centre. The computer automatically calls random generated numbers then once you answer it logs your number in a database of active phone numbers and will call back. When they did get through is was call centre staff trying to hook you in for making a claim against miss-sold payment protection insurance

This week’s UK pole position is championed yet again by a Manchester company. Well, that’s what we are meant to believe. It’s TalkTalk operating from call centres based abroad in order sale upgrades and other trivia. Obviously Opus Credit employees are more motivated than other call centre agents since they occupy the 2nd place for several weeks now. Last but not least is a newcomer from London luring the ignorant into their web of PPI claims.

Now let’s have a look at the New World.

1. 3605296156 from Minnesota with a tellows score of 8

2. 2064960410 from Washington with a tellows score of 9

3. 6518293110 from Seattle with a tellows score of 8

They called me saying that I was selected to win $1 million dollars and at first it sounded reasonable but as the phone call progressed it was clear it was a scam. They wanted to know my bank and if I had a Visa Master Card. Then they tried to get me to buy magazines. I tried to decline and someone hung up on me. I called back to reassure I wasn’t going to recieve or end up paying for something I didn’t ask for and I was informed I wouldn’t. I should have just hung up I know, but I’m young and made a dumb mistake. Since this phone call, people have been calling my around the clock.

The sweepstakes scam is still one of Most Wanted phone numbers in the USA. The Washington number harasses people without end and, unfortunetely, even less is known about disruptive elements from Seattle.

What does that tell us? Share more info!

Until then….
